Don’t wish for union!

nounion

Don’t wish for union!
There’s a closeness beyond that

Fall in love in such a way
that it frees you from any connecting.

Love is the soul’s light, the taste of morning;
no me, no we, no claim of being

As eyes in silence, tears, face:
love cannot be said.

Rumi

It is unlimited…

understand

Please understand that there is only one thing to be understood, and that is that you are the formless, timeless unborn. It is because of your identification with the body as an entity that your consciousness, which is universal consciousness, thinks that it is dying. Nobody is dying, because nobody was born.

The millions of forms are the manifestation of consciousness. It is the millions of forms which get created and destroyed, but universal consciousness itself is unborn and undying. Just imagine if all the millions of forms which have been created were still here – how could other forms be created? It is because consciousness is unborn and undying that the millions of forms get created and destroyed; it is a continuous process. Understand that what you are is this unlimited universal consciousness. Only that in which consciousness manifests itself is limited and is created and destroyed. The total potential of consciousness remains. It is unlimited…

Leave everything aside for a moment…

birdie

Leave everything aside for a moment,
this self-obsession with being someone special.

Leave aside all these shallow concerns, projections,
expectations that keep your mind floating
like a bubble on the surface of the ocean of being.

Just try to be this formless presence
in which this entire play is watched.

Be neutral.
Empty.
Try to observe that which observes.
Keep quiet.

Your mind seems so afraid of this meeting
which is with your true Beloved!

Now is as good a time as any.

Once your heart accepts this invitation
the whole universe is with you.

Finger isn’t moon

The raft is used to cross the river. It isn’t to be carried around on your shoulders. The finger which points at the moon isn’t the moon itself. – Thich Nhat Hanh

Two gardens

radha-krishn-garden

You have two gardens: your own garden and that of your beloved. First, you have to take care of your own garden and master the art of gardening.
In each one of us there are flowers and garbage.
The garbage is the anger, fear, discrimination, and jealousy within us. If you water the garbage, you will strengthen the negative seeds.
If you water the flowers of compassion, understanding, and love, you will strengthen the positive seeds.

What you grow is up to you.

If you don’t know how to practice selective watering in your own garden, then you won’t have enough wisdom to help water the flowers in the garden of your beloved. In cultivating your own garden well, you also help to cultivate their garden.

Thich Nhat Hanh

You are an Ocean of Love…

Oceanoflove

You are water (which represents love). You can remind yourself again and again that you are an Ocean of love or else keep getting scared/attached to creatures in the sea (anger, greed, jealousy etc etc). – WB

This is what enlightenment is all about…

This is what enlightenment is all about – a deep understanding that there is no problem. Then, with no problem to solve, what will you do? Immediately you start living. You will eat, you will sleep, you will love, you will work, you will have a chit-chat, you will sing, you will dance – what else is there to do?

Stars (Tara)

An Ancient saw a star, got Enlightenment.
What can moderns see, get Enlightenment?
Can I also see a star, get Enlightenment?
There are many stars. Which one should I see?

Shining stars, singing stars, dancing stars,
Army Generals’ stars, flags’ stars, cookie stars,
Shooting stars, Stars Wars stars, tree stars, river stars.
I want to see the true star.
Which one is true?

Where do all stars come from?
Where do all stars go?
Time flows by. How can you find them?
If you grab them, they take flight.
If you find them, there is nothing.
In a star is a star.
In THIS star is a star.
The star sees the star.
Stars singing star song.
Stars dancing star dance.

An eminent teacher asked, “What is your star?”
Student facing the ground, imitating a star-search.
Then, clapping hands, laughing, Transmission.
How wonderful it is!
Find a star in the ground, become a great man!

Do you want to pick a shining star?
Do you want to find a ground star?
Stone lion appears from the clouds.
All stars are afraid;
They hide in the tiger’s shadow.

Where is North, South, East, West?
Don’t know Heaven, don’t know earth,
Don’t know road, don’t know house.
Don’t know. Don’t know. Dark. Dark.
Only don’t know.

Cliff… OUCH!…. Dead… Wake up.
Heavenly star shining in the sky.
Two ground stars. Bright Dharma room!
